The Jr. Tbirds are thrilled to announce Chad Wiseman as our Skills Director & Coaching Mentor for the 2025-26 season!

In this role, Chad will be on the ice with all of our Jr Thunderbirds & Springfield Rangers youth teams throughout the 2025-26 season.  Coaching skills practices with the assistance of some of his Thunderbirds AHL players.

As Coaching mentor, Chad will work closely with all of our youth coaches helping with structured practice design plans and game preparation and strategies. In short, our teams will train like pros with an emphasis on character, and compete level so each player is challenged to play outside their comfort zones.

Chad is a familiar face in the 413, currently serving as the assistant coach for the Springfield Thunderbirds.  With an impressive 14-year playing career—11 of those in the AHL, Chad brings a wealth of experience to our program. His hockey IQ and youth development concepts are impeccable, and we are confident his leadership will help our players reach new heights.

This partnership is not only a huge win for our Jr. Thunderbirds community but also strengthens our connection with the Springfield Thunderbirds & the St. Louis Blues.  We are proud to work together to build the future of hockey!
