Former Springfield Rifles and Cathedral High School standouts and teammates Matt Foley and John Leonard faced off against each other Sunday night when the Roadrunners (Coyotes AHL affiliate) took on the Barracuda (Sharks AHL affiliate). Not only did Leonard get a hat trick in the contest, but Foley scored his first career AHL goal.

Leonard and Foley are also the Jr. Thunderbirds (formerly the Rifles) Hockey School co-directors. That camp will continue on again this summer in August under the organization's new, Jr. Thunderbirds name.
The 26-year-old has a goal and an assist with Tucson since joining the team on January 5. Leonard has 5 goals in his last 3 games.
